The canal boasts wonderful bird and wildlife 'displays' and a much more gentle walk than the coastpath, with circular walks bypassing various coffee stops ie; The Weir, continue a bit further through a lovely woodland area for a cake and coffee treat at elements - well earned by this point!

Of course North Cornwall is renowned for its surfing and Widemouth close by is a great beach for learning. Surf board, hire and surf lessons are readily available. Splash leisure pool, rock climbing, bouldering, coasteering, kayaking, fishing, sailing- at nearby Tamar Lakes are just some of the active things on offer.
